Alice Kerns Darby, 92, of Landover Maryland, went to be with her heavenly father on September 12, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Darby Jr.; sons, Charles “Alphonso” and Jerome “Jerry” Kerns; mother, Florence McIntosh and brother, Charles Gibson. She is survived by her granddaughter, Nia Francis-Evans; two great-granddaughters, Pashince Francis and Cayla Burrell; her special cousins, Herbert Allmon, Walter Allmon, Alice Bowser, Molly Lacks, Shirley Watson; goddaughter Iris “Petey” Howard and a host of loving family members and friends.
