Annette Regina Mosley-Dearing was born on December 12, 1961 to the late Samuel E. Nevett, Jr. and Virginia A. Mosley-Ward in Bessemer, Alabama. She was the oldest of two growing upwith her bother Joseph Nathan Mosely.

Annette received her primary and secondary education in the Diocese of Columbus school system where she attended Saint Gabriel and Saint Augustine Schools. She later attended Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio, where she graduated in 1980 with dual diplomas: a high school diploma and a pharmacy technician certification. She continued her education at The Ohio State University majoring in Pharmaceutical Sciences and accepted a position as a Pharmacy Technician with CVS in Columbus, Ohio. Annette later attended the Sanz School in Washington, D.C. where she obtained her certification as a Medical Assistant in 1990. Annette continued her medical assistant career at various medical facilities including Concentra, MedTech, and Washington Hospital Center in the mid 1990’s.

In 1982, Annette enlisted in the Unites States Army as a medical specialist, and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and was later stationed at Fort Clayton, Panama (Atlantic Side). In 1983, she relocated to Fort Davis, Panama where she met and fell in love with fellow soldier Michael Dearing. They were married in 1984 and moved to Washington D.C. in 1986. Annette received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1988. Michael and Annette bought their first home in Landover, Maryland in 1986. Annette created a loving home with Michael and her stepdaughter Nikki Dearing-Smallwood whom Annette adored.

Michael and Annette decided to adopt and in October 1989 were blessed with a sevenweek old baby girl whom they named Michele V. Dearing. Annette was elated and overjoyed when Michele joined their family. Michele made their lives complete, motivating them to grow together through the mercy and grace of our heavenly Father.

In 2000, Annette relocated back to Columbus, Ohio where she received a certificate from the National Guard working as a Field Medic. She also received an associate’s degree in 2007 from Ashworth University and continued her career in the DMV as a clinical coordinator at The Stanford Brown Institute; director and instructor at MedTech; director and instructor at Corinthian College; and an adjunct and lead instructor at Fortis College until her passing. Throughout her career she was a mentor and model for her students as well as assuring them of their careers once they graduated.

Annette attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio where she was a member of the youth choir. Annette joined the institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (I.D.M.R.) which was founded by Dr. Henry C. Kinley in the year 1931 where she remained a member until she took off the flesh in January 2024. Her favorite passage in the Bible was 2
nd Corinthians 5: 6 & 14 “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea though we have known the Messiah after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him know more, after the flesh, but after the spirit”. “Therefore if any man be in the Messiah he is a “brand” new creature ole things are passed away behold all things are become “brand new”.

Annette cherished her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, to most of them she was affectionately known as “Momma Nette”. She enjoyed life-long relationships with them across the country and shared many wonderful memories. Annette loved to go shopping, going to the casino, traveling, visiting family and friends and her children, listening to gospel music and going to jazz concerts.

Annette peacefully transitioned on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland.
