Audrey Viola (Harvey) Wiggins, 64, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on November 20, 2023. She was born on February 15, 1959 in Henderson Avenue, the St. Andrew Parish of Kingston, Jamaica. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Minna Harvey.

Audrey graduated from Norman Manley High School, in Kingston, Jamaica, going on to pursue a profession as a seamstress. While in Jamaica, she met her one love, the late Nathan Charles Wiggins via penpal. While writing letters to each other they had fallen in love and gotten married at the St. Luke's Anglican Church in Cross Road, Jamaica on September 25, 1982.

Audrey had been given her Certificate of Naturalization on May 12, 1998. With her U.S. citizenship, Nathan and her established their lives in the United States. Because of her husband’s occupation in the Navy they had spent many years traveling from state to state, until Nathan’s retirement where they settled down in Maryland and had their daughter Natalie.

Throughout this time, Audrey had worked in customer service for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) for over 25 years. Because of Audrey’s loving and infectious personality she made a number of close friends and colleagues throughout her time at AAFES. Even though she retired in 2022, some of her co-workers and customers would still call her to check-in on her, get some encouragement, or simply unite for prayer. When Audrey wasn’t working she loved to do activities like sewing, interior design, gardening, cooking, or spending time with her family and loved ones.

Additionally, Audrey loved spending time worshiping at church. From a young age, she dedicated her life to God and was a loyal and faithful disciple. She acquired many spiritual gifts such as: prophecy, serving, teaching, words of wisdom, healing, and let’s not forget the gift of tongues.

As Audrey got older, her relationship with God and the church strengthened as she was appointed as an Evangelist under the leadership of Bishop Norman E. Atkinson at Faith Missionary Baptist Church. Shortly after, she and her husband rose through the ministry and were appointed as Pastors in 2012 under the watch of Apostle Lola V. Smith and Bishop Willie
Smith Jr. at Faith Deliverance Temple.

It didn’t matter if it was family, friends, co-workers, or even someone off the street, Audrey encouraged and evangelized everywhere she went. She loved to uplift others and make people feel encouraged and seen. And most importantly, she wanted others to know that God is always with you and that all you have to do is stay encouraged, pray, and stay close to God. Do these things and he will never forsake you nor will you walk this life alone.

The beautiful life of Audrey Viola (Harvey) Wiggins will not be left forgotten. Audrey left the world as a strong, devoted, beautiful woman. She was a loving wife, caring mother, beloved daughter, giving sister, hard worker, and most importantly a powerful and angelic soldier for the Lord. As she touched many souls throughout her journey do not forget her gentle smile, contagious laughter, and her joyous and humorous personality.

Audrey leaves behind her only daughter Natalie, her two brothers Michael and Babington, her five sisters Dorothy, Peaches, Angella, Arlene, and Karen. She has also left behind her beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives residing in the United States and Jamaica.
