Brandon Jarrelle Johnson was born in Greater Southeast Community hospital on July 20th 1984 to Vanessa Johnson and Emanuel Lee. He is known to most loved ones as BJ and Darth Hooligan to DC United Fans. He attended DC public schools and eventually obtained a high school diploma from Cornerstone Christian Academy 's online diploma program.
BJ loved sports and was a big fan of his home town sports teams. You could always find him wearing the jerseys of his beloved players. Brandon gave life and energy to all those around him. He was known to have a joke, or riddle for you and he kept you entertained with his crazy dances. BJ was also known for his agility, acrobatics; along with his witty ways that will never be forgotten.
Brandon chose a free spirited path in life and lived on his own terms. He loved to spend his free time teaching local kids how to play soccer and reading every book he could get his hands on. BJ was also an animal lover who spent countless hours rescuing strays for the Humane Society. Brandon loved to work with his hands whether through his drawings or carpentry work. BJ chose the path to Islam and devoted his life to spreading the word of the Qran.
Brandon is preceded in death by his best friend and mother Vanessa Johnson; his grandparents Doris Mae Carter Johnson (Clifton Johnson Sr.), Jerome Turner, and Katy and Emanuel Lee; uncles Clifton Johnson Jr., Tyrone Turner; his aunts Mamie Hawkins, Phyllis Johnson and Donna Smith.
BJ is survived by his father Emanuel Lee; his stepfather David Matthews; his siblings Robert, Dion (Olympia), Kimberly, David, Charnee, William, Jervon, Raven and Damion; his aunts Belinda Johnson, Elenor Wingfield, Patricia Lee McClaine, Cynthia Lee Johnson and Gail Turner; his nieces and nephews Vanessa, Veronica, Vivian, Victoria, Robert Jr., Angel, Jazmine, Justin, Darius, Dayna, Omari, Odyssey, Dessa, Kohbi, Kahriem, Desmond, Brooke, Quinnard, Marice and Wakelee; 14 great nieces and nephews; a host of family, friends and Darth Hooligan fans.
