Brenda Louise Perry answered the call to come home to her heavenly Father on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.

Brenda was born on February 25, 1952 at Friedmonts Hospital now known as Howard University in Washington, DC.

Her Mother was Olympia Thomas and Father Thurston D. Nickens. Brenda was a vibrant and outspoken woman. She was a woman of strength and integrity who worked hard. She retired several years ago from the Federal Government at the National Institute of Health where she served for 32 years.

Brenda was lovingly referred to as BT for Big Trouble because she was not afraid of anyone and would protect and defend herself and loved ones with no fear. She loved to hand dance, Bop and back in her dancing days you could find her at Tip Top, Lamont or the Chateau.

She also loved Cadillac Cars and at any given weekend you could find her and her long-time life partner and dear friend Steven Smith, who recently passed away riding down to the Casino in her Red Cadillac SUV.

Brenda was a Beloved Mother of 7 children and words cannot express how much her love, laughter and strong spirit will truly be missed. We know that she is dancing right now in heaven with Steve, DeeDee and some of some of her friends.
