Calvin Garnett Williamson was born on February 18, 1942, the third of four children born to the late Charles and Queenie Williamson. He was educated in the DC Public School system.

Calvin was introduced to Christ at an early age and re-dedicated his life in the presence of his daughter Patricia.

He held several different jobs in his early-adult years before settling with Sodexo/Marriott from which he retired after 35+ years as a Maître D’.

Calvin enjoyed fishing, bowling, and traveling – but, most of all loved spending time with family. He was passionate about sharing his life experiences with the young people in his life, impressing upon them the importance of preparing for their future. He also was a die-hard Redskin fan and was a season ticket holder.

Over the course of his life, Calvin had two special companions: the late Gloria Gardner and Patricia Washington (aka Pat).

Calvin was preceded in death by his elder brother and sister (Lafayette Williamson Sr. and Betty Byrd), and son (Glenn Mattocks). He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, (Patricia Padgett-Snead and Donna Daniels), 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-grands; a younger sister (Ida B. Springfield), many nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He will be missed.
