Obituary for Chanee Marie Jackson

Chaneé Marie Jackson, age 43, departed from her early life on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Chaneé was also known to her family and friends as Na-Na.

Chaneé was born on Tuesday, November 27, 1979, at 2:06 pm, in the newly remodeled District of Columbia General Hospital to her loving parents, Charles O. and Karen A. Jackson.

Chaneé received her education in both the District of Columbia and Prince George’s County Public Schools. She was briefly employed with the Prince George’s County School System. Chaneé enjoyed cooking, joking, dancing, and being the life of any gathering. The family held a potato salad competition once and Chaneé ’s potato salad came in first place. Chaneé was also known to her family as the ID Channel Queen, as the Investigation Discovery channel was her favorite. She would call family members from time to time to inquire if they had seen a particular episode before disclosing details of what she previously watched. From a very early age, she loved to greet anyone with a warm “Hi!” She shared with her mother that she did not have acquaintances, rather she had friends; she was truly a social butterfly. What Chaneé loved more than anything on this earth was her family and children.

Entrusted with cherishing her memory are her parents: Charles O. and Karen A. Jackson; her children: Chavez, Cierra, Malaysia, Kynay, Taraja, and Tristan; her grandmother: Mary Jackson; her two brothers: Carlos Jackson (Shynesia) and Cody Baker; her four sisters: Lynn Jackson, Stephanie Maynard (Norman), Jamesha Pryor (Jerome), and Felicia Jackson; six uncles, three aunts, eight nieces, ten nephews, three great-nieces, eleven great-nephews, and an extended loving family and many friends, who will miss her deeply.
