Desmond Thomas was born on March 23, 1993, to Donnell F. Thomas and Tishelle Barnes, in Montgomery County, Maryland. Desmond was called home on Friday, October 27, 2023. Desmond grew up in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where he excelled in little league football and basketball. Desmond was educated in the Prince George's County School System. Desi, as he is affectionately known, was mild mannered and a man of few words. He enjoyed traveling with his grandparents, but one thing he enjoyed more than anything was spending time with his son Makai. Desi was currently employed with Amazon. Desi leaves to cherish in memory his son Makai, father Donnell and stepmother Charo, Mother Tishelle & Cortez Jenkins, brother Brennan Barnes and wife Kimberly, sister London, stepsiblings Ceheirra & Tyler, grandparents Raymond & Patricia Thomas, uncle Jeffrey & wife Corease, aunt Rae & Linwood Alston, cousins Raegan, Wayne and Dominic Ross, several nieces & nephews, extended family and friends. Desi was preceded in death by his great grandmother Marian A. Thomas, grandparents Roger & Letha Barnes.
