Donald Carlos Pegs, affectionately known as “Don Carlos”, was born on July 26th, 1951. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of December 26, 2022. He was the third of five children born to Charles Benjamin Pegs and Hazel Marie Pegs. A native of Washington, D.C., Don Carlos was a warm, sweet sensitive soul who loved God, his family and music. His favorite songs were Shimmy Shimmy Coco Bop and Jesus Loves Me. He was always willing to sing both songs to whoever would listen.
