Obituary for Donald Raynard Whittaker Jr.

Donnie was a kind and caring man, who provided the best jokes. He always had time to listen and help people, he most likely made you laugh your way through whatever you were going through. His loving personality was one of his best attributes.

Donnie, son of the late Catherine and Donald Whittaker Sr, was born October 25, 1959, in Prince Georges County, MD.

He received his formal education in Montgomery County Public Schools. After completing his education, Donnie had a lifelong career as a truck driver, working for various companies that included Pepsi, Swift, and WSSC.

Donnie always believed his greatest accomplishment was achieving his sobriety 28 years ago. He then devoted the rest of his life to helping others in the N.A. & A.A. community with achieving and maintaining their sobriety.

He loved spending his time riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and watching his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Donnie passed peacefully on December 5th, 2023, at the age of 64. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who loved his family dearly.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his only child Tynitria “NeeNee” (Terrence), Grandchildren Daevyn and Curtis Jr.

Also left to mourn his loss and cherish his memories are his siblings, Reginald (Pamela), Deborah, Sharon (Ronald). A cherished Godson Martese, and a devoted friend who was like a brother Dimitri.

Along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his late sister Jacqueline, nephew Chaz, and brother-in-law Thomas.
