Dr. Loistine Odessa Mallory, of Forestville, MD, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024 at Autumn Lake Healthcare, in Chevy Chase, MD. Loistine was born on December 8, 1945, the fourth child of the late Ernest and Beatrice Leigh Mallory, in rural Edgecombe County, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Curtis Mallory, Cullen Mallory, Donald Mallory, Lorell Edwards, and Darious Mallory.
Dr. Mallory was an educator for many years for the Edgecombe County Public School System in North Carolina and the Government of the District Of Columbia School System.
Those left to cherish her memories: a brother, Verneal Mallory (Carolyn) of Riverdale, MD; two sisters in-law, Ethel Mallory of Tarboro, NC and Gloria Mallory of Rocky Mount, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
