Obituary for Edwrena M. Brown

Edwrena (Masterson) Brown affectionately known as Ed was born on December 29, 1954 to the late Roy Turner and Carolee Masterson in Washington, DC. Edwrena passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 13th at Doctor’s Community Hospital, in Lanham, MD.

Edwrena worked as a Transportation Industry Analyst for the Department of Transportation. Edwrena retired from the Department of Transportation after 38 years and 6 months of dedicated service. During her tenure at the Department of Transportation. Edwrena received many awards and was certified in shorthand.

After retirement, Edwrena enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Edwrena loved playing cards, going to BINGO, taking bus trips to see shows and going to Maryland Live. Edwrena was a Washington Redskins fan.

Edwrena leaves to share and cherish her loving memories, her daughters Tyrena Brown and Tyrisa Stafford; a son-in-love Emory Stafford; 5 grandchildren Donnell Stafford, Donte’ Stafford, Danielle Stafford, Jerome Davis and Jerimyah Davis. 2 great grandchildren Zaria Stafford and Kayden Stafford; her siblings Charles Masterson and Laverna Masterson; a sister-in-law Mary Masterson; two nieces Elizabeth Brown and Terria Masterson; a nephew James Masterson; 2 great nieces Jewell Masterson and Trinity Masterson; 3 great nephews James Masterson; Jr, Johnathan Smallwood and Elijah Smallwood; a host of cousins and friends. Edwrena was predeceased by her mother Carolee Masterson and Godmother Bernice Stewart.
