Elaine S. Brock formerly of Queens Village, NY who resided in Bowie, MD departed from this world to a life everlasting at 100 years of age on Tuesday, 01/10/2023. Originally named Florence Elaine Parris Scott, Mrs. Brock she was born August 2, 1922, in the Village of Harlem to John Leslie Scott and Millicent Cleo Parris Scott. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Louis Brock.
Educated in the New York school system she worked various jobs in the Federal Government, non-profit sector, and Board of Education retiring from Andrew Jackson High School in Queens, NY.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, son Andre, grandson Kevin, former daughter-in-law Dorothy, beloved Aunt Julia Daniels, and cherished cousin Dorothy Grant.
Her daughter DeNise Johnson; three grandchildren, Dr. Andre Les Wyle Brock, Jr., Dr. Latoya Nicole Johnson Keelen, Richard Brock; nine great grandchildren Darrell, Ryan, Nicholas, Loren, Jayla, Gabriel, Tayus, Gabrielle, Isaiah; daughter-in-law Joanne Brock; devoted godson Jeffrey and his brothers Juan and Tony; and goddaughter Jennifer Cook Wilson and her brother Terrence; cousins Eileen Frierson, Melodie Jackson, Aletha Turner, Kathy Dart; and other distant relatives and family friends survive her.
