Entered eternal rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Husband to the late Agnes B. Marshall, loving father of Louis L. Thomas (Clarice), Yvonne Tillery, Laverne Marshall, Sylvester D. Marshall, Victoria Reid, Giovanni V. Marshall (Glenise) and Frank Jones; cherished grandfather of Joseph R. Marshall (Missy), William D. Smith, Michael A. Marshall (Joslyn), Louis D. Thomas (Tina), Tanya Deal (James), Canessa Hall (Anthony), Latoria Marshall, Donnell A. Marshall, Giovanni “BJ” Marshall (Veronica), Francis Bell, Tilvonne Tillery, LaKeiva Reid, Maria King, John and Sarah Vaughn; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren; He was preceded in death by his wife, his daughter Vanessa Coates, son Joe Jones, parents Charles Sr. and Agnes G. Marshall, three brothers and two sisters. Also survived by 3 sisters Mildred Thomas, Marylee and Geraldine Marshall, two brothers Russell Marshall and Daniel Marshall, 5 sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Ascension Catholic Church, 12700 Lanham Severn Rd., Bowie MD from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. time of service.
