Joseph McCullough, beloved son of the late Walter and Tedia McCullough, was born on July 10, 1938 in Chester, SC. He departed this life on Friday March 31, 2023 peacefully at his home in Bladensburg, Maryland. Joseph’s brothers’ Willie McCullough, Walter McCullough Jr., sister Willete McCullough, and brother John Thomas McCullough preceded him in death.
Joseph received his formal education in the Chester County, South Carolina Public School system. He confessed Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church in Chester, South Carolina. He relocated to the Washington DC area in his late teens.
After more than twenty years of committed service, Joseph has been awarded several times by Yellow Freight Transport Company in Landover, MD for Safe Driving and Working without an injury.
Joseph enjoyed growing plants/flowers, telling jokes and riddles, tricks with his toes, and fishing with family. Joseph was gifted in repairing many things. He was handy with a needle and thread, as well as fixing on cars.
Joseph leaves to cherish his memory beloved friend Patricia Crooks and siblings, Octavious McCullough, Delgaree Hardy, James McCullough, Hattie (John) Able, Roosevelt (Michelle) McCullough, Shirlene Davis and Timothy (Louise) McCullough and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
