Lloyd Sylvester Corley, Sr. (affectionately known as “PeeWee”) was born to the late Floyd and Gilberta (Evans) Corley on July 11, 1956. He accepted Christ at an early age. Lloyd received his public education from Washington, D.C. public schools.

By the 1970s, not only was Lloyd a husband and father, but he also served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. Lloyd was a member of the 82nd Engineer Battalion and was an expert with the M-16 rifle in Bamberg, Germany. Lloyd completed his service to his country as a Sergeant.

An avid traveler, Lloyd resided in various states and enjoyed driving 18- wheelers and doing long hauls with his cousin, Thomas “Dinky” Atkinson. Lloyd was also a great artist and loved drawing portraits of his family and animals. In his latter years, Lloyd relocated to Texas where he lived life to the fullest. Lloyd joined the Anointed Temple Apostolic Pentecostal
Fellowship of Churches, under the auspices of Bishop Willie L. McNeal. Lloyd later became a member the Greater Zion Temple Church of God in Christ under the auspices of Bishop Shelton C. Rhodes.

Lloyd was blessed with three children, Stacy Duane (Sheon) Corley, Lloyd S. Corley, Jr. and La Shandra D’Ann Corley. Lloyd's children blessed him with seven grandchildren: Azaria, Derrick, Derrian, Syris, James, Elysia and A’Zora, and one-great grandchild: Alijah.

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Lloyd surrendered to the call of the Lord.
