Margaret Gibson was born in Layland, West Virginia on February 21, 1928,​ ​to the parents of Jesse and Jenny Rinehart. After graduating from High School, she met and married William J. Brown of WVA​, ​who preceded her in death. Margaret then moved to Great Neck, New York​,​ bringing with her two daughters and two sons. Margaret met her second husband Bill Gibson, who also preceded her in death. Margaret began ​her ​study​ of the Bible​ with Jehovah​'s​ Witnesses in the late 1960's and was ​​baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 22, 1982, almost 41 years ago.



Margaret then went back to school and studied to become a CNA (certified nursing assistant) at North Shore Community Hospital in Manhasset, New York. She retired from North Shore Community Hospital at the age 65. Margaret moved to Upper Marlboro, Maryland in Prince George's County, Maryland in 2007​.​ She brought with her from New York to Maryland her daughter, grandson, granddaughter and her ​sister​; all of whom lived in her home with her in New York. She moved to Maryland to be closer to her loving and devoted daughter and son, Sandra and Thom​, both who live in Washington, DC.



Margaret is preceded in death by her father and mother​,​ Jesse and Jenney Rinehart, ​daughter​,​Emma Johnson​, sisters ​and​ brothers​,​ Louise Walker, James Rhinehart, Alice Bell, Henry Rinehart and Nina Solomon.



She is survived by daughter Sandra Rinehart, sons Thom Brown and Basil Brown, grandson Gary Johnson, granddaughters and grandson Angel Johnson, Rudy Johnson, Danielle Munduy, Suzann Brown, a devoted niece Yvonne Cathey, brother-in-law Arron Solomon, a host of other loving relatives and friends.
