Maria Altagracia Ozoria known by many as “Tatica”, was born in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic on May 10, 1930, to Silencio Sanchez and Marcelina Ozoria. The vibrant, red lipstick loving, strong and independent woman was the fourth of seven siblings.
In the second chapter of her life, Tatica migrated to Canada in the mid-60s and then traveled to the United States due to the bitter cold and excessive snow fall. She lived in New York for a while and then moved to Washington, DC. Tatica worked very hard to bring her 2 sons Jose Ignacio and Luis Antonio to the United States in 1968. She left them with family until she saved enough money to bring her two boys to the states to join her. A year later, her 3rd child, Mary Victoria, was born. In the early 1980s Tatica opened up her heart and home to a fourth child, Roberto Matos, at the young age of 7, whom she loved like a son and the family adored like a little brother. She was a single mother of three and still found a way to help another. She was kind hearted, strong minded, loved family, her friends, and was full of joy. She loved her plants, had a passion for gardening, cooking, entertaining, loved listening to music, and going out dancing with friends where she was known as "Tatica de la Flor".
Tatica was a hard worker and a dedicated employee for the Shoreham Hotel, The Lunch Box, and McDonalds where she retired from on December 2, 1994. In 1995 Tatica became a proud citizen of the United States. In her earlier years in 1987, Tatica was able to make her American dream come true and purchased her home in Landover, MD. There she lived happily until she was called to become one of God's Angels.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Silencio Sanchez and Marcelina Ozoria; four brothers: German Ozoria, Sirilo Ozoria, Nanin Ozoria, Luciano Ozoria; three sisters: Carlita Ozoria, Chanita Ozoria, Fefin Ozoria; and Roberto Matos whom she loved dearly like her own son.
Tatica is survived by her pride and joy, her children that she adored; eldest Jose Ignacio (Mercedes) Mota, Luis Antonio (Darlene) Nataniel, and her last born, her baby, Mary Victoria Conde; 6 grandchildren: Nicole Reed, Cristina Nataniel-Jones (Brandon Jones), Josefina Mota, Luis Nataniel, II (Lauran Holloway), Maria Mota, Jose Mota, Jr. “Junior”; 5 great-grandchildren: Jazmine Derricott, Nia Williams, Xiomara Marshall, Santiago Marshall, and Antonio Jones; 3 great-great-grandchildren: Alexandria Derricott, McKenzie Derricott, and Eliza Derricott. Tatica also leaves behind two godchildren Kiyana Steele and Jason Portillo, a host of nieces, nephews, close cousins, many relatives and many close friends who also adored her, both in the United States and in the Dominican Republic.

En la segunda etapa de su vida, Tatica migro a Canadá a mediado de los años 60 y luego viajo a los Estados Unidos de América dado al amargo frio y la caída de nieve excesiva. Ella vivió en Nueva York por un tiempo y luego se mudó a Washington, DC. Tatica trabajo bastante fuerte para traer sus dos hijos José Ignacio y Luis Antonio a los Estados Unidos de América en el 1968. Ella los habría dejado con familiares hasta que ella ahorro suficiente dinero para traer sus dos muchachos a reunirse con ella en los Estados Unidos de América. Un año después, nace Mary Victoria, su tercera criatura. Temprano en los 1980 Tatica abrió sus corazón y hogar a un cuarto niño, Roberto Matos quien tenía 7 años, a quien ella amó como un hijo y la familia lo adoraba como un pequeño hermano.
