Obituary for William Marlyn Webster

William Marlyn Webster was born January 18, 1942 in Raleigh N.C. He was one of seven children born to the late William Webster and Essie Evans Webster. He was proceeded in death by his wife Dollie Lee Lisenby Webster of 25 years and two sisters Zuleen Morgan and Delores Webster Burton. Marlyn entered eternal rest February 14, 2014.

Marlyn attended Berry O’Kelly High School where he received his diploma in May 1960. He left Raliegh shortly after graduation in 1961 and moved to Washington D.C. where he met and married the late Dollie Lee Lisenby (Webster) on November 28, 1962. They had three children, William Michael Webster (Lisa) of Peyton, CO, Maurice Webster of Wash D.C., and Cheryl Denise Webster of Odenton, MD.

Marlyn worked for Peoples Drug Store Warehouse/CVS where he retired from over 40 years of service. He also worked at the Washington’s Football team for over 20 years and the Washington Nationals for 5 years. He joined Primerica and made sure he told everyone who would listen about Life Insurance and Investing their money. He was a proud member of the James H. Hill Lodge No. 16, Masonry where he serviced for over 50 years. He enjoyed going to the casino with his brother Louis Webster and friend Walter Miller and spending time with his special friend Lizzie Lee. He was also a part of the Deep Sea Fishing Club and also the Community Garden. He was a fan of the Pittsburg Steelers Football team. He would deliver his vegetables and go to the store for his friends that couldn’t get out all while he was taking dialysis three times a week. In 2023, he moved to Peyton, CO with his son William where he departed.
