Obituary for Michelle Renee Wright

Michelle Renée Wright was born on June 4, 1964, in Washington, DC. Michelle grew up in Lanham, Maryland with her parents and siblings and was educated in PG County Public Schools where she later graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland. Michelle became a daycare provider by profession and cared for numerous children who all will forever cherish her in their hearts.

Michelle was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 25, 1987. She loved attending the meetings and assemblies; the conventions were especially exciting to her. Her love for people motivated her to expand her ministry as a full-time, or regular pioneer. She enjoyed the privilege of attending Pioneer Training School in 1991. When her health no longer allowed her to participate in the public forms of the ministry, she sent encouraging letters and made phone calls to her neighbors, witnessing from home. Michelle spent most of her life as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Suitland Congregation. Years later, she became a member of the Lanham Congregation. She loved reading and studying the Bible, which she did faithfully.

Spending time with her son BJ, cooking, and baking came second only to her faith. Michelle loved reading the word, rainbows, nature, especially flowers, Lilies of the Valley, Hydrangeas, Magnolias and Hyacinths were her favorites. Michelle also enjoyed drawing and spending time with family and friends. Michelle would always greet you with a gentle smile and warm hug. She will be remembered for her sweet demeanor, signature smile, and delicious desserts. Her favorite color was purple, and she loved seashells from the beach.

Michelle is preceded in death by her parents Kalbfus and Gloria Allen. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Bernard Wright Jr., her siblings, Cheryl Mosley (Art), Duane Allen, Calvin Allen (Nora), Karen Allen (James Robinson Jr.), Katrina Barry (Antoine), Brian Allen (Laura), and Deirdre Allen. Nieces and nephews, Ebony Steele, Nina Allen (Jermaine), Felicia Anthony (Brandon), Kandi Kennedy (Kevin Stewart), James Robinson III, Robert Mosley (Melissa), Shawn Robinson, Christine Robinson, Jessica Miller Allen, and Destiny Steele. Great Nieces and nephews, Jaylin Phillips, Jaimie Bynum, LaDarian Anthony, Jordyn Bynum, Kody Stewart, Dominique Steele, Kory Stewart, and Karley Stewart. She leaves to mourn Pat Crawley a spiritual sister and special friend whom BJ affectionately called “Aunt Pat”. She also leaves a host of spiritual brothers and sisters, cousins, and friends who all will miss her dearly.
