Obituary for Norma Mitzi Waterton (Adams)
Norma “Mitzi” Waterton was born February 7, 1937, in Buxton Village, Guyana to Arnnot and Ruth Adams both deceased. Mitzi went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2023.
Mitzi grew up in Buxton Village, Guyana, attended Buxton Congressional School and later Carnegie School in Georgetown. She loved singing in the church choir has a young woman. She attending many social events with her friends however the events ended she always walked her friend home. Mitzi, met her late husband Wesley Wilton Waterton. They would marry February 12, 1958. This union welcomed seven children.
She migrated to United States, Washington, DC in 1968, leaving behind her late husband and five children. Her late husband later joined her in 1969. She worked both in the government and private sector for over 33 years, before retiring from the Federal Government.
Mitzi had a very magnetic personality that drew others towards her. She was very loving to her family and loved by all who knew her. Many will remember her as being very Big-Hearted and easy going. She enjoyed inviting family and friends into her home for a meal. To ALL who knew her, she showed great kndness, generosity of spirit and a willingness to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all.
Norma Mitsi Waterton has gone to join her Parents Arnott Adams and Caroline Ruth Adams, husband Wilton Wesley Waterton; daughter, Marilyn Waterton; Sons, Noel Mark Anthony Waterton, Wesley Jr. Fitz Waterton; Brothers, Henry Ifill, John “Ronald” Adams, and Herbert Winslow “Boye” Adams.
She leave behind to mourn her Children; Wordsworth Waterton, Sandra “Ava” Waterton, Yonnette Waterton-Duncan, Son-in-Loves: Hayden Duncan, Clayton Waterton, Faustina Clarke, Peace Hayward, Son-in-love; Trevellis Heyward, her Daughter-in-Love: Toni Waterton.
GrandChildren; Tiffany Duncan, Marc Duncan, Tricia Duncan, Jasmaine Waterton, Tyra Waterton, Tanyah Waterton, Wesley Waterton Trinity Heyward, Jeffery Heyward, Tanzia Fezbedzi, Demario Clarke, Demetite Clarke, Zhania Waterton and Zactiva Waterton.
GreatGrand Children: Aria Lawson, Maverick Duncan, Braylon Duncan, Genesis Jones, Isaias Navedo.
