Orin 'Franky' Houston 83 was born on January 15, 1940, to Wilfred & Thelma Houston in Georgetown, Guyana. As a youth he attended ST. Thomas Moore R.C (Tutorial High School). Upon graduating, he enlisted in the 'Auxiliary force' The Pre-Cursor to the Guyana Defence Force (GDF). After the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), his tenure ship with the police department. As a trawler captain of the Neptune out of providence fisheries, is where he spent most of his career on the sea.

Franky migrated to the states in the late 80s residing in Riverdale, Maryland. In the 2001,he met and married his most dedicated friend, partner and confidant, Phyllis Hodge-Houston. As their blended family continued to grow, Orin and Phyllis provided their children and grandchildren with all the love, comfort, hospitality, humor, and stability a family could ask for. He worked in customer service for 10 plus years serving the community, which he enjoyed. He put smiles on people's faces with his jokes and laughter along the way.

Franky will be remembered as a well- suited and booted soul detected out in the latest fashions. He had an endearing soul who loved to dance the night away, touching others with the charm of laughter, the joy of peace and a smile that lasts forever.

Franky, everyone you left in this world hates that you are gone but we are happy that you are home free and painless.

He will be missed by many, remembered by most, and loved by all. We leave you with his famous quote “I WOULD SEE YOU ON THE 12TH”, THE 12TH OF NEVER!!!!

Franky is survived by his wife Phyllis Hodge-Houston, sister Blanche Hartley and brother n law Woody Hartley, children " Colin" Orin J. Houston, Jhona Houston (wife); step- daughter Cassandra Hodge; grandchildren; Ashley, Renee, Jasmine, Janel, Anthony, Leila, Mya, Novah; great- grandchildren; other assorted family and many caring friends.

He is preceded in death by parents; children Geofrey Houston and Amelia Hartley; sister Pamela Owen; brother Foster Hoppie; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
