Robert Van Clark, son of Bessie Clark transitioned from this life to his Heavenly Home on August 21, 2023. Robert was born February 4, 1963 in Washington, D.C. to Bessie V. Clark and the late Van W. Clark
Robert attended Baptist Churches with his Mother Bessie and his Grandmother “Big Mama” the Late Ellen Galberth, whom he adored.
Robert was educated in Maryland and Washington D.C. public schools and was a stellar athlete who excelled in every sport that he attempted.
Over the years he held many jobs, most recently KFC and Archibald Nightclub, where he worked as Cook, Security Guard and Bouncer.
Robert loved spending time with his daughter; Ayroba, going to movies, parks and out to eat and especially all things D.C. Redskins/Commanders, Wizards, Go-Go music along with nice clothes, coffee, fresh haircuts, playing basketball, leisurely walks, McDonalds, Half Smokes and Mountain Dew!
Robert leaves to cherish his memories a daughter; Ayroba R. Dutton, his mother; Bessie V. Clark, one sister; Victoria Clark, four brothers; Kenneth Clark, Alexandria, William and Lawrence Haley, and three sister-in-laws. A loving Niece; Makeyva Pemberton , longtime Friend; Paul Mason and other Family and Friends.
