Steven Edward Mouring was born on November 8, 1978, to the late Clayton Floyd Mouring and Evelyn White of Maryland.
Affectionately known as “Jabo”, he grew up in Capital Heights, Maryland where he also attended grade, secondary, and high schools. Jabo was skilled in various trades to include auto mechanic, truck driver and warehouse manager. He was passionate about becoming an entrepreneur.
Jabo was always known to be the life of the party and known to make anyone he was around burst into laughter and/or smile, as his smile was infectious. Jabo enjoyed fishing and sports as he was a true Dallas Cowboys football fan.
On Thursday, March 30, 2023, a gift was given back to God, Jabo was called home to be with our Heavenly Father. Jabo was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton Mouring Jr. As a part of Jabo’s celebrated legacy, he leaves behind to cherish his memory one daughter—Stasia Mouring (Jewel Cole, stepmother); five sisters—Felicia Mourning (Maryland), Angela White-Wells (Maryland), Shirley Carter (North Carolina), Joyce Battle (Texas), and Jean Holmes (North Carolina); one brother—Kenneth (Tracey) White (Maryland); significant other—Bernita Drumgold, (Rhiley Miracle Drumgold, bonus daughter); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and dear friends.
