William Lawrence Bush, Jr. (Billy) of Washington, D.C. departed this life on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Billy was born in Washington, D.C. on February 3, 1958 to Mary Juanita (Bush) Glenn and the late William Lawrence Bush, Sr. He was the first grand and eldest grandson of his beloved grandmother, Nettie Mae Reed Eddy (affectionately known as “Mama Eddy). He was educated in Washington, D.C. Public Schools, attending Plummer Elementary, Kelly Miller Jr. High and Eastern High schools. At a very early age, he had a love of music. He also loved to shoot pool and play football and was a quarterback with the “B Street Football” team in Fort Chaplin with his buddies.

He worked as a module installer contractor at The Pentagon and Washington Convention Center and later worked as a truck driver for many years. He is preceded in death by his father William L. Bush, Sr., stepfather Benjamin Franklin Glenn, and his stepsister Pamela Glenn. He is survived by his three brothers, Kenneth D. Bush, Alan L. Bush, and Pastor Michael E. Bush and sister-in-law, Pastor Raychel G. Bush as well as three stepsisters
Paula Douglass, Constance Fenwick, Michelle Chew (Chew); One aunt Naomi J. Bryant, in addition to a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, relatives and friends.
