Willie Mae “Sista” Jones was born on August 20, 1935 in Franklin County, North Carolina to the late Leon Lewis Neal and Martha Ola Debnam Neal. She was one of six children. James Neal, Leon Lewis Neal and Mary Frances Neal preceded her in death. Willie Mae Jones, 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Arcola Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Facility. She graduated from high school in Zebulon, North Carolina. She relocated to Washington DC, where she
married James Elvin Jones on July 7, 1956. She worked many years in the Food Service Industry. She worked at Holton Arms School and Marriott Corporation (Hot Shoppes – Bethesda). She later worked at American Security Bank as a Loan Processor. Mom loved spending time with family. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Janice Neal-Jackson and Joyce Jones; grandsons, Marques, Kevin and Grant: Brothers, William (Tommy) Neal and Joseph Neal, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
